Scientific research shows that the combination of professional guidance (such as cognitive behavioural therapy) and nicotine replacement therapy or medication, is the most effective approach. The WeQuit method is based on this evidence. That is why all Dutch health insurers cover our program.
The program
This program is designed to ensure long-term success. Furthermore, we aim to make quitting smoking as easy and comfortable as possible. How?
No GP referral needed, no waiting list.
Online - from the comfort of your home.
You choose when your sessions take place.
An experienced therapist will be assigned to you.
A tailor-made treatment plan will be developed for you.
If desired, you’ll receive free nicotine replacement therapy or medication.
Your personal therapist will help you quit smoking or vaping in six weekly online sessions. Together, you will work on a plan to prevent relapse.
You’ll work in your WeQuit workbook between sessions. The reflective exercises will help you gain insight into your behaviour.
After finishing the program, you are welcome to join our free aftercare group for as long as you need. We’ll also stay in contact with you to share tips to prevent relapse and to see if you need any additional support.
100% reimbursed by all insurers
The WeQuit program is 100% reimbursed from the basic insurance without addressing your deductible. This also includes nicotine replacement therapy or medication. Below are some of the largest insurers with whom we work. But anyone with a Dutch insurance can join "for free". All Dutch insurers reimburse our program.

With our program, you join the sessions online or by phone together with your practitioner. Quitting together with the help of a practitioner is more effective and easier than doing it alone. The specialised therapist is very experienced and shares knowledge, gives you insight in your behaviour, helps you to recognise difficult moments and offers solutions for those moments.
