And the good thing is that our program will not cost you anything because all Dutch insurers reimburse our program and desired aids such as nicotine patches or lozenges. Our program consists of 3 phases
Personal intake
We are all different. That is why an analysis of your smoking behavior is made by one of our practitioners before we choose an approach that fits your needs the best. They will also help to chose the best nictotine replacements. Our English speaking participants are always getting 1:1 guidance from a practitioner.
In six weekly online sessions, we'll help you through the most difficult first stage to quit smoking and you and your practiotioner work together on a plan to make sure you don't go back to your old smoking habits.
Because our goal is that you remain a non-smoker for life after finishing our program, you are always welcome to join our open group sessions afterwards. We will also stay in touch with you for a while: we will check regularly how you are doing and whether you need some more help.
In the Netherlands, around 23% of people over 18 smoke or vape. That's more than 3 million people in total. The majority of smokers would like to quit smoking and approximately one million smokers per year make an attempt to do so. Less than 10% succeeds without help.

Quit smoking together
With our program you join the sessions online or by phone together with your practitioner. Quitting together with a practitioner is more fun but also easier than doing it alone. The specialised practitioner is very experienced and shares knowlegde, gives you insight in your behaviour, helps you to recognise difficult moments and offers solutions for those moments.

Our team consists of experienced psychologists and behavioral therapists. They guide you through the process to quit smoking in 6 weekly sessions. They help you to better understand your own behavior and thus break your routines.
We follow a well thought-out and scientifically proven effective method. The treatment team often meets to discuss experiences and findings. This is how our method gets better every day.
100% reimbursed by all insurers
The WeQuit program is 100% reimbursed from the basic insurance without addressing your deductible. This also includes nicotine replacements if you want to use them. All Dutch insurers reimburse our program. Below are just some of the largest insurers with whom we work. But anyone with a Dutch insurance can join "for free".
Hoe verwijzen
The referrer completes the form in full with the patient’s consent.
WeQuit contacts the patient within 1 business day. The patient completes the registration independently or receives support from one of our staff members if needed.
Based on a smoking assessment, the appropriate prescription and use of nicotine replacement therapy or medication will be discussed. These are requested by WeQuit and sent by post.
Smoking cessation programs are reimbursed 100% by health insurance 1 to 3 times per calendar year, with no deductible excess. WeQuit bills the health insurer directly.
After the patient has completed the program, the referrer receives a start and completion letter.
